SUBMISSIONS GUIDELINES

Submissions are currently open in all genres—fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Submissions of electronic writing are also encouraged in any of the above genres.

To submit, email your piece in as an attachment. Word documents are preferred, but please no .docx. Electronic submissions may be sent in whatever form they exist.

For fiction:
For poetry:
For nonfiction:

The subject line of your email should be formatted something like this: “Submission: [Title of piece, Author’s Name].” Please allow up to three months for a response, though we’ll try to get back to you much sooner. Simultaneous submissions are welcomed; just be sure to inform us in the body of your email, and let us know immediately if your piece is accepted elsewhere.

Here at Wag’s, we’re big fans of micro. If you’d like to submit something tiny (a poem of five lines or fewer, or a fiction/nonfiction piece of 500 words or fewer) send it into and include its genre in the subject line of your email.

Wag’s Revue asks for first serial rights only. All other rights revert to the owner upon publication. At the moment, we can’t pay for unsolicited submissions—not with real money, anyways. But we promise you excellent karma.

We look forward to reading your work!
